#1699 – Lead Process Controls Engineer

Location: Tomahawk, WI

My client, a growing, global manufacturing company is seeking a Lead Controls Engineer to provide design expertise within a batch & continuous processing environment. This position is slated for promotion into a manager role within the next two years. In this position, you will take on the technical lead of projects and the mentoring of junior engineers. Additional responsibilities include:
• Development of electrical, controls & instrumentation system requirements
• Review and approval of P&IDs and other electrical systems documentation
• Programming of DCS and PLC/HMI systems
• Test Execution and Start-up Support
• Optimization of current systems and design input for new systems/equipment

REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
• B.S. in Electrical Engineering
• 5+ years in Process Systems Design, Development, Improvement and Implementation
• Strong experience with Distributed Control Systems (DCS), such as Foxboro, DeltaV
• Prior experience with PLC and HMI programming, such as Allen-Bradley, SLC500, Wonderware, RSView, etc.
• Strong skills in Electrical Design and troubleshooting within a continuous and batch processing environment
